People can be viewed as violent even if they are not. Even if there are no sinister intentions, brandishing a weapon in a public place and shooting inanimate objects can result in serious charges. A man who shot a slot machine in a Mississippi casino knows this all too well.

The man, who is from out of state, was charged with felony malicious mischief, exhibiting a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied dwelling, according to The Republic. Because of the severity of the charges, someone in his situation would benefit from consulting with an attorney to help prevent his rights from being violated.

Here's what allegedly happened. An assistant chief with a county sheriff's department says that the 67-year-old man was playing a slot machine in a casino at a resort. He apparently complained to an employee that the machine ate his money.

The employee told the man that nothing could be done. Police claim the man then went out to his vehicle to retrieve a gun. He then allegedly returned and shot the slot machine several times.

No one was injured in this incident. People who gamble often sometimes experience extreme frustration when things don't go their way. While this man likely had no intention of hurting anyone, the police may have viewed his behavior as erratic and dangerous.

The incident took place at Harlow's Casino Resort. The man is from Arkansas and was arrested late last week in Little Rock, according to WAPT's website.
